The Festive Season has always been a special time of year here, at Lake House, Daylesford. Almost 40 years since we opened our doors, we’re delighted to welcome multi-generations and to be a favoured place for families to gather and celebrate milestones and occasions. The Festive Season is no exception. Come December, Christmas lights, decorated Christmas trees, sumptuous wreaths and twinkling candles welcome guests from near and far. Each year the Lake House take on the traditional Christmas pudding has always been central to a long lunch or dinner over the Christmas holidays, and in recent years those who are not able to join the festivities at our iconic House on the Lake can pre-order their own puddings to enjoy at home. But you’d better be quick to place your order, with only a limited number of puddings available – they tend to sell out quickly each year. A warming Dairy Flat Farm blend of cardamom, cloves, star anise, cinnamon, citrus peel, ginger, pimento and pepper. Served in a large ceramic mug over Scrabble in the library or in a tea glass for a warming welcome, it’s one of our favourite ways to boost the day. Ingredients: Star Anise, Orange Peel, Black Peppercorns, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves, All Spice, Berries & Ginger Root. Instructions: Scoop 1 spoon per desired cup and steep for 3.5 minutes.
