Update From Lake House

Update 24 October

To our friends, colleagues, guests and members of our extended and local community,

It looks like we’ve arrived at our new normal ( for now). Melbourne guests will be able to travel to Regional Victoria from 6pm on Friday 29 October.

It is not quite “hospitality as we know it”… just yet. There are still some rules and restrictions in place. Please be aware that there are currently ongoing compliance requirements regarding travel, leisure, hospitality & tourism in the time of COVID.

These are mandated and enforced by Government . You can keep up to date with the rules here. https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/

As a business, our policy continues to be, to do our best to meet the requirements of these rules and restrictions in what is an ever-changing and at times unpredictable environment.

As many of our guests book weeks and months ahead,  no doubt restrictions and requirements will change again and we ask that travelers take responsibility for ensuring they follow best practice, as mandated, at the time of your visit to Lake House and our region.

As always (since mid-2020) please ensure you have the correct app or screen shot needed to sign into the property on arrival. If you have no mobile phone, please register other appropriate documentation .

We are a busy leisure destination run by a team of food, wine and travel professionals. As such, we need your assistance in ensuring your compliance prior to arrival and best practice when signing in to enjoy our hospitality experience.

We offer our very best wishes for continued health and joy. And we look forward to welcoming you to our house on the lake soon.

Reservations for Hotel, Restaurant and Spa are available online 24 hours a day. Our Reservation Team are onsite 9am – 5pm.

Our Daylesford Farm

Dairy Flat Farm Daylesford is our own 38 acre regenerative growing facility 10 minutes down the road from Lake House.

The property includes five acres of dedicated vegetable gardens, a working barn for classes and workshops, 3 hoop houses, a glass house; an orchard of 300 trees; an olive grove and two and a half acre vineyard of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir plantings.

The on-site bake house is built in a semi-underground cellar with views to established hedgerow gardens. It specialises in slow-fermented sourdough and associated viennoiserie and hosts a regular calendar of masterclasses with collaborating baker Michael James. The bake house supplies Lake House guests with daily items. Retail sales are available from Wombat Hill House, in the beautiful Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens.

The Lodge at Dairy Flat is a special addition, an opportunity for travellers to immerse themselves in the beauty and energy of a productive farm.
