Waters at Salus Daylesford Day Spas
Since the begining of history, people have resorted to springs, baths and spas for the therapeutic effects and power of their healing waters. As historian Siegfried Gidieon observed a half century ago the resurgence of interest in this type of activity speaks reams about our society's values... "The bath and its purposes have held different meanings for different ages. The manner in which a civilization integrates bathing within its life, as well as the type of bathing it prefers, yields searching insight into the inner nature of the period.
At our Salus Day Spa our belief in the efficacy of hydrotherapy is thoroughly indulged. Here the ritual of bathing and taking the waters can be enjoyed at many levels.
The brand new, state of the art Salus Day Spa beside our lakeside accommodation at Lake House Daylesford is surrounded by waterfall fed streams.
Our own Salus sparkling mineral water is offered on a complimentary basis. This mineral rich flavoursom water originates at a selected local spring and is bottled specifically for us.
Salus Day Spa offers nine treatment areas from idyllic hot mineral water tubs in private tree houses overlooking lake Daylesford, to the latest in European spa treatments and technology.
Salus adds a new dimension to the Lake House Small Luxury Hotel, allowing guests who do not wish to leave the tranquil surrounds of the six-acre lakeside property to simply “robe up” for the trip from their suite to the spa.
Also open for non-residential guests – Salus Spa is a perfect place for relaxation and therapy after an indulgent lunch in the restaurant.
The spa uses two deluxe products including Li’Tya and the ultra premium, medicinal grade Elemis product line. Elemis boasts a cult following in the UK with Gwyneth Paltrow and top model Laura Bailey amongst its most ardent fans.
Each product is also available for sale in the retail space.

Coming up at the Lake House Daylesford Restaurant: TASTING VICTORIA
Throughout the month of March, Tasting Victoria - a state wide initiative will aim to promote the abundance and diversity of Victorian produce.
As part of our overall policy of reducing food miles and developing a personal relationship with actual suppliers - most produce used at Lake House is regionally grown and produced and therefore pays homage to regional producers every season.
To celebrate Tasting Victoria we have highlighted three of our favorite dishes from the menu which all support regional producers. These have been matched with a delicious drop of regional wine for your enjoyment.
The Daylesford Macedon Produce group
...wasfounded in 2000 in Victoria has created a network between local restaurants, cafes and producers. At Lake House you will therefore find a menu that is driven by the seasons.
